I am surprised at how little free-time there is with motherhood! Annie is a very active baby. She loves to play all morning, takes about an hour or two nap (during which I usually try to get a shower and tackle one household chore) and then she wants to be held a lot in the afternoon. Our little Fussbunny has colic and so is quite the mess from dinner until she goes to bed, but I wouldn't trade a minute of holding my little love-bug to vacuum or do laundry or pretty much do anything else. I am SO grateful however, that Annie sleeps about 7 hours a stretch at night! Michael and I are so lucky to have lots of great friends who have volunteered to give us date-nights and give me time to clean up the house while not feeling like I am wasting valuable time with her! It feels like she changes every second and I hate to miss something.
Yesterday, my little angel gave me a full-out laugh! I guess this means Cubbie is a keeper (just kidding, we were not planning on giving her away!) because she started laughing when I threw the dog's frisbee and Cubbie jumped in the air to catch it! The only repeat laugh I have gotten was when I threw it again.
I am seriously dreading going back to work. I love my job and if I have to work, it's a really amazing thing to see every day. I just wonder who I will do taking care of everyone else's baby when all I really want is my own... I know Michael will bring her to me on the weekends though! I am very blessed to have a wonderful babysitter as well. Our close family friend has offered to take her on days I'm working.
Annie sounds hungry, I'm off to feed her! MOOOOoooo
